The Manginangina Scenic Reserve provides access into a jungle-like forest containing some of the few remaining mature kauri trees in New Zealand.
Kauri trees are also known as "agathis" or "dammara" and grow straight and tall providing strong straight-grained lumber ideal for yacht hulls.
